• What is Cosmetic Dentistry?

  Cosmetic Dentistry is an aspect of dentistry which deals with restoration of teeth considering function and aesthetics. This treatments are aimed towards improving the patient’s smile. Enhancing the smile may include treatments like teeth whitening, crowns and veneers.

• What is a denture?

  Denture is a removable prosthesis which is a temporary solution for missing teeth. It is normally advised after extraction just to prevent any changes with regards to the patient’s bite. Removable dentures is not advised for long term use as it may affect bone level, thus it is only offered as temporary especially on the process for dental implants or fixed bridge.

• What advice you can give to your patient?

  I always emphasize to patients that prevention is always the key. This applies for teeth as well. I encourage my patients to go for routine oral prophylaxis and bi-annual check-ups as we can do interventive treatment before any thing else gets complicated. Preventive treatments can be planned and in this manner, we can maintain and monitor the patient’s oral health, and would be more cost efficient to the patient as well.

• What do you like to do outside work?

  I am an outdoorsy kind of person, thus when im not at work, I’d rather go to the beach or some quaint cafe. Always game for a trip, camping, hiking or out-of-town adventures. And if im staying indoors, I might be preparing for my next travel.
